My name is Eduardo and I am a father of two, an educator, and technology enthusiast. I have spent over 10 years in private education both as a teacher and school administrator working with students from grades 6 to 12. More recently, I have dedicated my time to learning about cloud computing and building projects using AWS and GCP. The Cloud Resume Challenge - AWS Version
This website was deployed using AWS. The site uses CloudFront for HTTPs traffic and Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway to provide the site with a visitor count. CloudFormation and SAM were used for IaC. GitHub was used for both version control and CI/CD. Read about my experience completing this project and view my code here.
The Cloud Resume Challenge - GCP Version
My Google Cloud project page was deployed as a static website using a GCP storage bucket. The site uses Network Load Balancing for HTTPs traffic and Cloud Functions, Firestore, and API Gateway to provide the site with a visitor count. Terraform was used for IaC. A Bash script that creates a GCP storage bucket and uploads files to that bucket. The script is run on the user's device and uses the Google Cloud CLI.
Recognizing Handwritten Images
Kaggle competition using the famous MNIST dataset. The goal is to correctly identify digits from a dataset of tens of thousands of handwritten images. My model achieved 96% accuracy using deep learning tools.
